Derrick Rose Talks Transition Back To Basketball After Missing 2013 Season

Derrick Rose recently sat down with Bulls TV to give his first ever interview in nearly 2 years. Rose opens up about being quite for the last year, to get his head together and more importantly spending more time with his son. Last season, Rose missed the entire season due to ACL surgery, which he opened up about it being one of the most difficult things he’s dealt with in life so far. Derrick went on to say he had to be selfish about the road to recovery; to be sure he would be healthy for the future.

His teammates fully supported his decision of missing the season looking for the future; citing game speed is different from practice speed, which we saw him the majority of Bulls shoot arounds. Derrick wanted to return last year, but wasn’t there mentally and physically to perform at his high level. Check after the jump to watch Rose speak on personal goals for next year, in his first interview back from the injury.
